Our Team


From the very start it has been important to Jonathan that local staff makes up the backbone of the team. Providing local flavour and knowledge of the location we feel is vital to ensuring customers receive an informed professional standard of service without being stuffy and overly formal.


Samantha Brown (Restaurant Manager)


A local lass, Sam strives to deliver a friendly and professional feel to the service of food and drinks at The Ducane she always has time for a chat and can provide whatever information may be required.


Living close to the Ducane Sam has her finger on the pulse of all that occurs locally and has had close connections to the Ducane for years making her the ideal hostess.


Louise Partis (Sous Chef)


Jonathans” right hand” and long suffering Sous chef at The Ducane. Louise has worked with Jonathan for 8 long years and shares his passion for food. A finalist in the East Anglian Chef of the Year competition Louise has achieved excellent personal awards as well as several awards for cooking. Focussing on her particular skill of fabulous desserts Louise and Jonathan work closely together to bring you the highest standard of food possible.

 


Ian Harris (Apprentice)


Ian (Spud) to his friends is our current work in progress. A local lad who is serving a 2 year apprenticeship scheme that Jonathan has implemented to develop local kids in Hospitality and Catering. Ian starts his day release college course soon we all wish him well.
